Huge German dump discovered today at "Durchgangslager Hanko"

What a day!! After some trouble with the weather on Tuesday and finishing off the excavation of the "Entlausungsdorf" area on Wednesday we found it necessary to find another excavation area for the last leg of the dig. The only question was where!? Thanks to the kind help of mr Lasse Nyman earlier this year we had an idea of where to look. But still the new area surprised us! This has to be the largest untouched German WW2 dump in the area!

Many German coins today (and Norwegian and Finnish)

Digging layer one of the newly found dump.

German ceramic lighter (in the shape of an artillery shell)

Wonderful small glass container by Gustav Boehm (Offenbach am Main)

Another beautiful glass bottle.

My friend Jose excavating the DRK dump site.

Many finds of  Finnish (Arabia) porcellain from the DRK "Soldatenheim" dump!
