Doctoral dissertation about the archaeology and heritage of the Second World War German military presence in Finnish Lapland.

The first doctoral dissertation in the field of WW2 conflict archaeology is a fact. In a couple of hours time archaeologist Oula Seitsonen will defend his doctoral thesis titled "Digging Hitler's Arctic War : Archaeologies and Heritage of the Second World War German military presence in Finnish Lapland" at the University of Helsinki.
