Hundreds of finds during the first day of excavating "Deutsches Lager Hanko"

We only scratched the surface layer and were really surprised by the multitude and great quality of German WW2 finds. With over 20 people participating and in great summer weather the digging and documenation of the excavation was a pleasure.

Below are just a few of todays over 300 finds!

 German gaming pieces.

 Bakelite razor handle.

 German coin from 1926.

 Buckles.

Bakelite drinking cup from a "Feldflasche".

 Markings on the cup.

Some soldier preferred his wine from a carafe.

 Bakelite soap-box.

Finnish WW2 dogtag.

And lots of German porcellain...
